Gay dating in HighSchool?

1st off, im 17 and ending my junior year next week, woo senior year is so close!! haa anyways I have just started comming out to close friends and family within the past month. Ok well I want to start dating guys who live by me, but there are only a few gay guys (who are out at least) and Im not even friends with them (not that I dont like them, I just dont really know them) anyways is there like any good (without the freaky pedos & what not) sites were I could find local guys? I live in the chicago burbs if that matters any.. Also, once I do start dating guys.. Im really nervous just thinking about it because, even though I really want to, It is going to be so new and strange for me.. so pretty much any 1st time gay dating advice you can give me would really be awesome haha!! thanks :)

  1. You can find dating advice and other stuff here: Plan to take your time and enjoy becoming an adult. You are now in charge of your life, don't let others take advantage of you.
  2. I imagine that in CA, it will soon be law that mandates a homosexual dating service in every high school.
  3. I'm sure that in Chicago, you've got access to a gay community center and a gay youth group. Do searches for those things, with the word "Chicago" in your search terms. Do NOT try lookin' for love online, because at your age, you're more likely to find trouble, sorry. Also, you've got a whole summer to make friends with at least a couple of those other gay guys!
  4. IMA tell u what i tell everybody!!! gay str8 whatever! just WaIT!!!! cuz once u get into it and do it the first time u MIGHT just become addicted! and there is ALWAYS ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLWayS time to start dating because that allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllways leads to sex. and sex can RUIN a lot of things!!! i wish i had waited!
  5. You could try www.downelink.com that's a social interacting site for the GLBT community...lots of ppl. on there! Its free to register...Lots of 17-18 to ppl. in their 20's, etc. on downelink
  6. All reputable dating websites will require that you be at least 18 before they will allow you to post ads. I would avoid the questionable ones like Craigslist or M4M because there are a lot of freaks and trolls who hang out on those sites pretending to be what they are not just so they can find out things about you---which can be very dangerous. Just a few months ago here in south FL where I live, there was a teenage dude who used one of those hookup sites to correspond with a person he thought was a teenage girl. He foolishly gave 'her' his address and arranged for 'her' to come over while his parents were gone so they could have sex. The girl turned out to be a middle aged man who forced his way in and raped him. If you want to date somebody, stick to people you actually know from school or in your local area. Or wait til you're 18 and you can arrange with one or a few friends to go into the city to some of the places where other young gays hang out. Then you'll meet more people and you'll have more dating options.
  7. Yeah... Kyle... Check it out. I have a young gay friend who live in the Burbs of Chi-town. He started going to the Gay Youth Center... It's called The Center at Halsted. They have some really nice facilities and some really great, younger-adult counselors. They have a toll-free gay-help-line, and also many groups and social activities for teen and young adult LGBT's. You can probably Google for gay social clubs in chicago. Or you can dial 1-866-4-U-TREVOR and ask about the support network for Gay Teens in your area. It would be a place to easily meet other gay guys your age. There is lots of various info and help available specific to gay issues.
