Is there a sight for seniors 55+ just to make friends, not a dating service?
There are many of us seniors who are widowed or divorced who would just like to have a e-mail pals. Many are of low income, have no family and are homebound. This would provide some contact with the outside world and give many some meaning and worth. Even those who have more means and would like just to communicate with others from different areas, who do not want to put themselves out there in the dating scene, put their life and photo on the internet to who knows who. Let us have are dignity back and be who we are and offer friendship and be able to feel free and safe doing so from our own homes. Surely there must be something, if not How could a site be set up specificly for this

- Most chat rooms have rooms for all ages - u just need to be patient till u meet s'one who is on the same wave length as u - there r pretty sleazy ppl around but there r great ppl online too!..... u just have to look around a bit ........ after that its easy to maintain a friendship - I myself have found some great ppl to be friends with online! OR........u could have ur own community on Orkut - the new site of Google - here u can create ur own community n invite like minded ppl to join......... im sure there will be lots of response !
