why are disabled senior rejected on dating sites. when you are honest about your conditions ,i.m ambulatory?

am a 77 old woman of color, I subcribe to several senior dating. I have been very up front about my condition as a stroke susvivor . Things go very well even after my explantion about my health challenges there seems a mutual interest. but suddenly, theseveral week;' suddenly there is a proplem ; I don't think you are the person that is right for me, etc. I have tried to anlalze the reasons. maybe my messages may be boring. I hesitate of encouring any disrespect or being to bold. Is it possible i'm too boring and my conversation is not interesting. I guess it is time for to face up the disable should not to date online

2. Don't put yourself down Barbara, not all men are the same, keep trying there is always a good one to be had. Keep your chin up and have a star.
3. chances are you could be opening up old wounds and most of these guys just do not want to face burying another love one!!!
4. Dont be too honest too fast. Dazzle them with your personality first. You have a lot to say, a lot to share so do that first. Later on, when you really get into a person - have known them awhile - then tell them if you feel they should know. Otherwise, just go out, have a blast and keep some things to yourself until you feel the moment is right. God Bless you and happy hunting! :)
5. I'm willing to bet that you are not boring, but your conversations or messages may be. Go over some past letters and read them from a potential suitor's point of view. A girl I finally stopped "calling" kept using the same nonsensical expression over and over again, and no, it wasn't worth it to me to tell her it was irksome. We mens love to be listened to.....do that at first. It's up to you how much effort you wish to expend. We're all pulling for you, girlie!
6. It isn't just men Barbara. I've found the same thing to be true about women. Everything goes smoothly until they find out I'm disabled then all of a sudden they lose interest. It's not even just that, after corresponding with many women from on-line dating sites, the misrepresentation and selfishness I've encountered gives me a full understanding of why there are so many single women around and I'm sure it's the same with the men. Like you, I think it's important to be honest and up front about my disability. If nothing else, it certainly tells us which ones aren't worth wasting our time on. At least that's the way I started looking at it. Fortunately, I have found a friend who is similarly disabled as myself. We've been corresponding for over a year now and she is moving out here this summer so we can get to know each other better. Who knows what the future will bring but don't get discouraged. just consider the source and be thankful you find out earlier rather than later what kind of people your meeting on line. I know how easy it is to get discouraged when dealing with them but every dark cloud does have a silver lining. Remember Pollyanna and play the glad game.
7. Personally I would not reveal such things until it looks like it may turn into a serious relationship. But lets be real here. It is not at all unusual for a guy to end a relationship before it gets to that point. They probably were going to end it anyway because that is how guys are....at least a LOT of them. They want to be foot loose and fancy free and so do a lot of women. Most dates don't end up turning into anything serious. It is part of the game. It is kinda like test driving a car. It probably is best to keep it interesting and fun and look at it as an opportunity to make friends. Then if it leads to more great. If not then you have a new friend. There is no reason for a disabled person to not date online or anywhere else. You just have to make sure that your disability does not define you.
